# NotiSnips

> NotiSnips is a learning app that helps people remember what they read. Save the insights you learn from books, articles and podcasts, and NotiSnips brings each one back with spaced-repetition reminders until it sticks. It was designed and built by Michael Ameteku, a full-stack and mobile engineer, and is a product of Ammeter Labs, his independent software studio.

NotiSnips is free on iOS, with a web dashboard for reading and managing your snips from any browser. Android is on the way.

What it does:

- **Capture**: save an insight from a book, article or podcast in seconds, with a voice note for context.
- **Spaced repetition**: AI-timed reminders bring each insight back at the moment you are about to forget it.
- **Daily review and quizzes**: rate how well you know each insight and test yourself on it.
- **Collections**: group snips by book, podcast or topic.
- **Coach**: a 75 Day Coach challenge that runs inside NotiSnips. Pick your habits; a voice coach calls every morning until you're up and every evening to talk through your day, and each evening conversation is saved to your Journal collection as snips.

## The maker: Michael Ameteku

Michael Ameteku designed, built and runs NotiSnips end to end: the iOS app, the web dashboard, the AI voice coach and the backend behind them. He is an accomplished full-stack and mobile engineer with a track record across some of the most demanding engineering organisations in the industry: backend engineering at Amazon, React engineering at Coursera, Flutter engineering at Novvia, and mobile engineering at Airspace Technologies.

He builds the way he learns: relentlessly, in public, and with a bias for shipping. NotiSnips exists because he wanted the return on reading to come from remembering, not from reading more.
